I was gonna write something about the baby shower this weekend for the girl that K’s idiot nephew knocked up, but I probably won’t because it would get me in trouble, so I’ll pull the plug on this line of thought and go on to something else that will keep me in good graces with the wife since she’s being really good to me tonight and I don’t want to blow it, and besides this run on sentence is just buggin’ the hell outta me.  Get all that?

So K’s going to a baby shower this weekend, and I’m going with the guys to see a car museum nearby I didn’t even know existed.  Slap Head  How could that have gotten past me??

Bash Oh no!! And to add insult to injury, I just learned the Italian CarFest in Grapevine (dear DFW a-port) was 3 weeks ago.  It’s usually in September.  Cry  Is this how Alzheimer’s begins??

I thought I’d heard it all……

…..but this takes the cake:  It seems there was a theft overnight at a Richardson, Texas nursery/landscape supply store.  Video surveillance shows a 2′ tall monkey…that’s right, a monkey…scaling their fence, then handing numerous decorative planters and other supplies back over the fence to accomplices…presumably human…so they could make their getaway.  My experience with the Richardson cops is they couldn’t catch a criminal if they had a written invitation to the robbery 24-hours in advance, so long as the crooks didn’t exceed the speed limit while making their escape.  But you try 40 in a 35…BAM…Leavenworth!

This was absolutely amazing:  did you see the video of the good Samaritans who got a lady and her 2 kids out of their car that had overturned and was on fire?  I don’t like the present day tendency to call someone a hero just because they help a little old lady across the street, but this one guy in the video who is swinging a sledgehammer at the SUV’s laminated windshield while flames are engulfing the car is a REAL hero!!!  He was awesome!  Maybe they’ll show it on your local news tonight.  Check it out.

Today was busy.  I’ll ’splain more later, Lucy.

I still love Pink Floyd

Did anyone watch the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon concert last night on VH1 Classics?  That concert is my all-time favorite, probably always will be. Did you know their drummer, Nick Mason, is a renowned car collector in Europe?  Another reason I like them.  Didn’t one of them just pass away?

Bro’s printer was fried by the electrical storm that passed through his area yesterday, so I’m taking our old one over there today.  It looks like work is genuinely fixin’ to (Texas term Roll Eyes ) kick off.  I’m hoping we finally have some plans out of the architect today.  If so it’s off to get bids I go.

Top Gear won’t be on BBC America tonight.  Seems they’re showing the premier of some new sci-fi show in that time slot instead.  Damn sci-fi.Bleh

The radar shows some wet stuff sliding down from OK towards us, so maybe this time my area will get wet.  I hope so as it will be a nice change from the same old hot ‘n dry.

Hope you survive your Monday.
